This second semester elective course is an introduction to the exciting world of Latin percussion. Students will learn authentic rhythmic patterns, rudiments, and styles from the Caribbean Islands to Central and South America focusing on folkloric rhythms from Cuba.   In addition, the ensemble will perform during concerts and other events throughout the semester. The class is open to all interested musicians with or without prior drum experience.  Directed by Jason Lee Bruns.
